2013 Year in Review Slide Show
Date: 11 Dec 2013
FaithAction serves thousands of new immigrants each year, while educating and connecting our diverse community across lines of culture and faith - turning strangers into neighbors! The staff, board and volunteers are on track to serve over 2,000 new immigrants this year from over 30 countries with...
- Emergency needs (food, housing, financial needs, healthcare)
- Immigration legal assistance
- English/Computer Classes
- over 1000 ID cards were issued in partnership with immigrant faith communities and the Greensboro Police Department.
We have educated thousands more in our community by providing over 50 immigration and communicating across culture and faith trainings and presentations to faith communities, schools, social service agencies, law enforcement, and other local agencies. We have produced two outstanding theater productions this fall as a part of our community education. We have helped build bridges of greater understanding and meaningful relations between people of different cultures and faiths through our signature Stranger to Neighbor dialogues and events.
2013 shaped up to be an award winning year with our receipt of the Outstanding Nonprofit of the Year Award from over 250 members of the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium.
