Feb 2014 E-Newsletter

Date: 10 Feb 2014

Last year was an outstanding year for FaithAction. This year, with your support we will make an even bigger impact – serving, educating and connecting our diverse community – turning strangers into neighbors! In 2014 we promise to:

  •  Serve and accompany over 3,000 new immigrants with basic needs (food, housing, healthcare, employment), immigration legal assistance, English/computer classes, and our FaithAction ID Initiative.
  •  Provide over 50 trainings and presentations on immigration and communicating across cultures to faith communities, social service agencies, schools, and produce compelling theater productions featuring stories of courage and hope from our newest immigrant neighbors.
  •   Hold bi-monthly Stranger to Neighbor events – dialogues, soccer games, meals – that build bridges of trust and understanding between our diverse community, as well as introduce our Stranger to Neighbor model to local city officials, and other communities across North Carolina.
  •  Mobilize our diverse community to speak out and take action on immigration reform through unity walks, press conferences, and visits and calls to our elected officials – this is the year for change!

Now is the time to join us - become a volunteer, participate in our events –it's a   perfect week to show your love and become a donor.
