Immigrant and refugee services to welcome, advocate, and empower.

We had our annual multicultural Thanksgiving on 18 November, at the Muir’s Chapel UMC this year. We were thrilled to host over 300 community members that evening, while they enjoyed multinational cuisine from across the world.

We would like to thank our board members for helping out with the food. We are grateful to Muir’s Chapel for their generous support in every step of organizing the evening.

We are thankful to the interfaith religious preachers who prayed for us that evening. We’d like to give a huge shout-out to Mountaire Farms for donating 150 Thanksgiving meals which we gifted to our clients and families who attended, and also the performers who put on a great show.

Gizella Robles on the guitar, harmonica, and vocals gave a soulful start the performances. The Triad Hindu Temple choir sang religious songs, with the tabla and harmonium. Daliana Dance troupe dancers were cheered for their Hawaii, Bollywood, and Belly dancers. And the Cambodian traditional dancers ended the evening with their eternal moon dance. Thank you volunteers, supporters, and everyone who made the evening such a worthwhile experience.
