460 BACKPACKS DISTRIBUTED AT THE ANNUAL 2023 BACK 2 SCHOOL BOOK-BAG DRIVE, MORE THAN 500 PEOPLE ATTEND
Over the years, FaithAction International has been able to greatly assist hundreds of families during its Back-To-School Book-Bag giveaway drives. The goal is to save money for our low-income families in hopes of relieving some of their financial burdens while preparing their children for a new school year. Our focus is closing the educational gap for in-need K-12 grade students.
Koralys Lopez, our recently appointed IAC Manager said this drive is meant to help build confidence, and make children feel happy about starting school.
“Some families do not have the resources to buy provisions for their children, and their children often don’t go to school with new stationary. This drive will provide dignity, happiness and give the school-going students a fresh start,” Koralys confirmed.
The drive received donations from Churches, individuals who put together resourceful and beautiful items for school-going children. We would like to thank all our donors and volunteers who made this possible, and give a special shout-out to Hugh Holsten whose supported the drive in multiple ways.
